“If ye love me, keep my commandments”. John 14:15
Your love for God functions more when you are fruitful in bringing souls for him. God is not happy with the death of the wicked. Because, that soul could have been won to the kingdom of God.
The scripture says; “my little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth” 1John 3:18.
This implies that your love for God should not only be expressed in the words of your mouth, but rather in going to the field to win souls for Him. By so doing, your deeds in truth are being proven. Remember God has chosen us to go and bring much fruit for him.
Therefore the scripture says “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” John 15:14-16
Soul winning is the great business of the kingdom. No wise son jokes with his Father’s business. Jesus said:
How is it that you had to look for me? Did you not see and know that it is necessary (as a duty) for me to be in Father’s house and occupied about my Father business? Luke 2:49 (Amplified Bible).
God’s business here means preaching and getting people saved into kingdom of our God. Could you imagine a businessman who has many servants marketing his products and his servants allow his business to incur loses day by day? Invariably the businessman will not be happy entertaining the loses. But, this is exactly what we do to God if we refuse to win souls for him. Do you know that as unsaved soul people daily go to hell and God is not happy that we are not doing as much as we can do to save souls from perishing.
God does not border about the witches and wizard pursuing you, sickness threatening your life because he has settled those things before he created you through his words. What you need to know, is what God has said concerning what is troubling you and apply the word. For instance, the Bible says;
“Thou shall not suffer a witch to live” Exodus 22:18. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” 3John 2.
This implies that you consciously declare the word of God towards that your situation, and God validates His word. God is bordered only when wicked souls die and begin to languish in hell. The scripture says
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
Many people are scattered in the field without direction some other are under the stagnation and prison of the Devil without mercy. That is why Jesus saw certain group of people and he was moved with compassion to save them. The Bible says:
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest” Matt 9:36-38.
“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” John 4:34.
He kept winning souls till he died. Even when he resurrected he told his disciples about soul winning. To let us know the importance of soul winning.
If you are an engineer, preach to fellow engineers. If you are a doctor, preach to your colleagues. If you are a lecturer, preach to other lecturers. If you are a businessman or woman, preach to your business clique. If you are a student preach to other students. If you are a politician preach to other politicians. If you are a traditional ruler preach to other traditional rulers and bring them to Gods Kingdom. God will be happy for you and pay you.
Do not preach a message of condemnation, rather of salvation and love. All those that receive the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and those that do not speak in tongue are mandated to preach and win souls for Christ. Anyone that doesn’t preach to lost souls is guilty of the sin of disobedience.
Many perish in ignorance because they do not hear the gospel. The bible says “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not beliy call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”. Rom 10:14-15
WHY MUST I GO FOR SOUL WINNING
It is a sign of Love to God: The sign to prove that you love God is to preach to souls and bring them to Christ. Jesus says: if you love me keep my commandment John 14:15. After Jesus was crucified, one of his disciples; Peter, went away to seek for the things of the world. But Jesus located him and asked him “Do you love me more than the things of the world you are looking for”. Many people always say, Jesus I love you with their mouth like Peter had echoed severally in the scripture without preaching until Jesus asked him face to face. Loving God is not only with words but with action. We thank God that Peter repented immediately and followed Jesus
“So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.” John 21:15-17
It is a commandment to all believer: Preaching for souls to be saved is a command from Jesus to every Christian. The scripture says: And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matt 24:14
It is the first priority in Gods agenda: Many believers do not put the first thing first. That is why they go to pursue what is supposed to be pursuing them because of ignorance. Bible says: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hos 4:6.
The scripture says “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matt 6:33.
He has delivered you to deliver others: God has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and brought us to the kingdom of his dear son. The scripture says “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” Col 1:12-13
Many souls are perishing in the world that is why Jesus has sent us to get them come back home (kingdom). He wants us to engage in the work he has done and is still doing. A time came when Jesus sent seventy persons two by two to preach. The bible says: After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Luke 10:1
Do not go with the mindset that the gospel is only to be preached on the pulpit. Do not think or say, ‘I don’t have a platform’, remember that Jesus did not wait to have a pulpit before preaching the gospel
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matt 9:35. Jesus met his disciples in their different offices. He Peter met at the sea shore fishing; he also met Matthew at office where he was collecting tax. Saul who later became Paul was arrested to preach the gospel on his way to his evil business (Act 9:4-20).
We are already equipped to do the work:
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. Acts 1:8.
God will not send you to work in his vineyard and leave you empty. The scripture says “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” John 8:29.
Why many people go for evangelism and do not come back with any results is that they go to introduce themselves instead of introducing Jesus. Jesus is still the center of the gospel. Every preaching or miracles that do not point men to Jesus Christ is fake no matter who preached it. The Samaritan woman preached preach to those that she influence on and point them to Jesus. I call her the immediate evangelist with great results. (John 4:7-42).
If you say I don’t know how to preach share your testimonies with them or tell them “JESUS LOVES YOU”.
A woman who has never preached before shared her testimonies and many believed Jesus.
“And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.” John 4:39.
To heal their sickness and deliver from death:
The scripture says,
“And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” Matt 10:7-8.
You may not know that God can use you to do signs and wonders until you go to the field to win souls for God. Sometime ago God told me my son Samuel I am not giving you members rather I am giving you men and women of signs and wonders that will reveal my love for the nations. They will maximize my grace in the field.
We are watchmen over the souls of Nations: Watchmen give instructions and deliver people from danger. Bible says: Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Ezek 3:17-19.
Soul winning is as sign of service and worship to God: When you win souls you are rendering services to the king of king and at the same time populating His kingdom. This makes God to have more people to worship him as we are created for the purpose of worship (Revelation 4:11)
The Holy Spirit puts the word into action:
Conviction of souls is the responsibility of the Holy Spirit not yours. But your duty is to preach the word. The word that has gone out your mouth can convert souls. The scripture says “The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.” Ps 19:7
To gladden the heart of our Father
“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.” Luke 15:7. The heartbeat of our Father in heaven is winning souls. When you engage in winning souls you gladden his heart and joy will not cease flowing into your destiny. People that win souls and plant those souls shall have those mansions Jesus told us he was going to prepare for us. Jesus told a woman don’t be deceived whatsoever you sow, you reap. Heaven is and hell is also real whichever you chose becomes your portion.
The husband or destiny helper may be in the field waiting for you. It is possible that the person saved might be the miracle or favour you have waited and prayed for many years.
